InspectT receives convertible loan from Innovatiefonds Noord-Holland
InspectT receives funding from Innovatiefonds Noord-Holland for the development of an Optical-DOSY flow cell. The funding supports the research and development of a dedicated flow cell for Optical-DOSY, a new spectroscopy method that turns standard optical spectrometers into instruments capable of measuring both molecular structure and size.
Optical Diffusion-Ordered Spectroscopy (Optical-DOSY) combines optical spectroscopy with diffusion-coefficient analysis. The measurement is non-destructive, requires minimal sample preparation, and can be performed by simply inserting the flow cell into a standard optical spectrometer.
Applications areas include (bio)pharma, life sciences, and materials research, where fast and reliable size- and structure-characterization of proteins, polymers, and small molecules shortens development cycles and reduces costs.
Giulia Giubertoni, co-founder and CEO of InspectT:
“With Optical-DOSY, we add size sensitivity to the optical spectrometers that most labs already have in-house. By developing a dedicated flow cell, we will ensure easy integration and reproducible results—making molecular size analysis faster and more accessible.”
Prof. Sander Woutersen, University of Amsterdam:
“Optical-DOSY opens new possibilities to characterize complex samples, from proteins to polymers to nanoparticles. And the nice thing is that it works with any kind of spectrometer: UV/Vis, infrared, Raman, whatever is most suitable for the sample that you want to investigate.”
